His fatal mistake was that he considered her fragile, like gossamer that would unravel in his hands. Protection turned into possession in his mind.

She seemed fragile, yes. However, her soul was a river of steel, strong and fierce. When she realized this, her power awakened.

Determined, she slowly built shelters in her heart and mind – havens from him. She trained. She evolved. She became a force that he could no longer control or manipulate.

One fateful day, she summoned all of her energy and wielded it like a sword. With a white-hot passion and a resolve as cold as winter, she ran him through with her blade. The last word that he heard was the one that she whispered in his ear.
